Studio K is the passion project of Kristen and Martin Serra, a husband and wife team dedicated to sharing their love of music with the next generation. Along with their two young boys, music forms the soundtrack to their daily lives and it is the simple joy found through sharing music together that they hope will be their legacy.

Both Kristen and Martin have enjoyed success in the industry as session musicians, performing alongside some of Australia’s top artists. Their network is extensive with many of Sydney’s most in-demand artists at their fingertips. This inspired the creation of Studio K’s school workshops concept, bringing together industry professionals with students all across Sydney for a dose of inspiration & curriculum complementing learning.

Along with teaching privately, the pair have developed an under 5’s program introducing little ones to the concepts of music through fun, interactive songs, games & percussion exploration. Becoming parents and spending time introducing their own children to music inspired this program, where they are hoping to inspire the next generation & empower parents to feel confident to share more musical moments together throughout their days. Foundations in Music classes are held in Killara on Sydney’s North Shore during school terms.
